The Outlook provides an excellent location for exploring the local area. Having viewed the numerous attractions within walking distance in Scarborough itself, including North Bay, South Bay, Scarborough Castle, the Italian Gardens and of course Peasholm Park, there is a wealth of other interesting places to visit just a short distance away.
This includes the neighboring resorts of Filey, Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay and picturesque hamlets such as Pickering, Thornton le dale and numerous others nestled in the breathtaking North Yorks Moors National Park which is immediately on your doorstep.
The final section of the Cleveland Way passes through Scarborough, and there are many other popular walking routes to chose from.
Cycling is popular in Scarborough, and the Cinder Path cycle route to Whitby can be accessed easily from the Hotel. Secure overnight bike storage is available by prior arrangement and with the Tour de France coming to Yorkshire in 2014 cycling opportunities have never been better.
Ease of access from the Outlook makes it an ideal base to view the race at various locations as it passes through Yorkshire.
Surfing is becoming even more popular in Scarborough year by year, and the resort hosts many National events. There are also facilities for the less experienced who want to try out the sport to hire all the equipment and tuition they need whilst visiting the area.
